"Trichy Special School" Trust located in Plot no. 25,Vasantha Nagar, 1st Cross, Wireless Road, Airport Trichy - 620007. whish has a goal of enriching and empowering the right of disabled children/people to fulfill their dreams through the light education, skill training and job oriented programs. We specially focus on cerebral palsy, mental retard, autism, down syndrome, learning disability, ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), phobia and ADD (Attention deficit disorder). We provide physiotherapy, occupationaltherapy, speech therapy, special education, and yoga which will enhance the process of learning and also providing accessible environment to reach the goal of development and also we promote friendly development for the disabled children/people.

Special education:

Trichy special school trust provides special education programmes for children with cerebral palsy, mental retard, autism, down syndrome, learning disability, ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), phobia and ADD (Attention deficit disorder). Motor skills, self help skills, cognition, and social skills are trained in regularly to overcome word of disability. Various processes involved to enrich the system.

Physiotherapy:

Physiotherapy is one of the important resources where disabled children/adult strength and weakness can be trained in a holistic way. Physiotherapy specially assesses how a person moves, and compares it to developmental milestone. The activities of physiotherapy offered in trichy special school are

• Evaluation of motor functions,

• Recommend special furniture and orthosis for better positioning of limbs,

• Referral to appropriate professionals for medical and/or surgical intervention,

• Training of parents and other professionals and

• Develop fitness programmes for adolescents and young adults with disabilities.

Occupational therapy:

Occupational therapy intervention which include children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situation, helping people from injury to regain skills, and providing supports for older adults through adopting physical and cognitive changes. • Customized intervention to improve the person’s ability to perform daily activities and reach the goals and evaliation to ensure that the goals are being met and/or make changes to the intervention plan.

Speech therapy:

Speech therapy is a treatment which rectifies the speech and language disorders of children. Especially speech therapy helps individual gain the ability to communicate through speech and language. We use repetivities exercises and training as well as assistive devices for communication for therapy. We mainly focus for articulation disorders, fluency disorders, receptive or expressive communication disorders are trained to excel from such disorder and also separate session with parents to evaluate the improvement of children in home. Stage performance, cultural activities also was organized to improve the speech language skills of children.
